Park View All American Alpacas, owned and operated by David, Nancy, and Nick TenHulzen, is located on a hill just outside Portland,
Oregon. The picturesque setting and temperate climate make it an ideal place to raise these wonderful, magical and mystical animals.
Nancy works with the alpacas fulltime. She manages the day-to-day operations, directing the staff, entertaining visitors, and maintaining the
all-important support and rapport with clients. David, a practicing physician and dentist, is a board certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon
in private practice. With a degree in Zoology and training in genetics, his avid participation in breeding decisions and health issues is an
invaluable asset in establishing Park View Alpacas as one of the most award winning alpaca ranches in North America. Nick assists in the
operations of both the ranch and the business of alpacas. He is the owner of several spectacular animals and has done well breeding and
showing them under his own ranch name: Future Generation Alpacas.
Over the past fourteen years, Park View Alpacas has established one of the most successful alpaca breeding programs in North America.
Park View Alpacas’ focus on consistency and quality of both fleece and conformation, showcased by their National Champion males and
females, has been profoundly validated by their success in show rings across the country. They now have no less than 70 first place, awardwinning
females in their breeding program, and more than 330 top-quality alpacas in two locations: Park View Alpacas near Portland,
Oregon, managed by Terry Burley, and Park View Gold, owned and operated by Ken and Dottie Develey of Barefoot Alpacas in Grass
Valley, California. Their combined knowledge of alpacas and the alpaca business is an invaluable asset to the future of Park View.
The pedigrees of Park View Alpacas represent documented quality, generation after generation: Grand Champions out of Grand Champions,
domestic-born, documented, multigenerational Champion pedigrees to create the best “All American Alpacas”.This is the ticket to the
predictability and the success of the Park View breeding program! Four years ago their black Herdsire, Kobe of PVA, won “Best Head”
at the International Show, then went on to win Supreme Champion. In 2006 two of his offspring won Best Head and Supreme Champion;
Diamonte of PVA and Syrah of PVA. The 2007 Show Season began with a continued demonstration of award winning consistency. Park
View Alpacas took the show ring at the International Alpaca Odyssey Show, against some of the most profound Suri competition ever in
North America They won fourteen Blue Ribbons including eleven first-place awards in the halter classes, and both male and female Suri“Best Head,” as well as “Produce of Dam” for the fifth consecutive year. They also took second in Get-of-Sire with Fawn Suri offspring
out of Keanu of PVA. They also won Grand Champion and/or both Grand Champion and Reserve Champion in every class in which they
were eligible. They also won the Best Head and Supreme Champion with their female Suri, Ivory Princess of PVA. Interestingly, all of these
animals are from the same lines as Mahogany Prince of PVA and his offspring: Montoya of PVA, Kobe of PVA and Keanu of PVA.
The TenHulzen’s extend a warm welcome to the alpaca community: “We invite you to share in our success and in the success of the North
American Alpaca Industry. We don’t play games, we don’t play politics. All we do is breed and ‘criate’ alpacas. When they are able, the
animals speak for themselves.”
